Specifically what I’ve got from this is a j-curve in learning that is actually taking me somewhere. For example I now know how to insert a mailform to catch information (and I know exactly where to place it to get the best takeup), and I'm finally working with an autoresponder, cutting down the hours it used to take to keep in touch with the customer base.

You know what it's like when you get a new piece of script or software – the instructions often aren't enough. A quick conversation with the team has saved me a lot of time and frustration. Another very important benefit is being able to brainstorm or get feedback on headlines and copy – I can have confidence knowing that I'm cutting out a lot of error and wasted time by running it by the team first.

In addition this is a true business community and the support and goodwill from fellow members is very rewarding. Many of us who operate web-based businesses can tend to feel quite alone, especially here in Australia where this is still considered to be "alien". You only have to look at the structured discussion topics, and the way the team has moved quickly to add more sections in response to member requests, to know that this is a serious working community that is tightly focused on getting results.
