Hi everyone --

Well, the first Q&A call was a huge success!!! Our experts were able to talk to 14 members during the hour, and there was some great information shared.

Click here to listen to a recording of the call!

If we didn't get to you this week, don't let that discourage you! Call in again during the next call.

FYI -- we will NOT be holding a weekly Q&A next week, since Derek is doing his LIVE tele-seminar (he's interviewing Jim Morris, the founder of NicheBOT -- it's going to be an excellent interview).

The next Q&A call will take place November 28th, at the same time as this week's call.

We'll try to answer the questions in this thread over the next couple of days -- if you don't see your answer, feel free to post your question again in the "General" section of the forum.

As always, we welcome your feedback!
Cheers,

The IMC Team

Dear helper,

I'm really at the beginning and I really want to do and built a business on the Internet.

What I have:
- a real business registered
- business account
- the sales tax certificate of authority is in progress

My questions are:
- How can I build an Internet business very fast? (I know everybody want this.)
- How many time does it take to build a business and get some income?
- Do I really need a tax certificate?
- Do I need an accountant ? (Because with sales tax certificate I need to make sales tax returns quarterly.)
- How can I sell right away ready products which are done already?

Thank you for answers,
Monika

Hi All,

I own a site which sells fine jewelry at discounted prices. I am finding it very difficult to create any content based marketing for this site. It really doesn't lend itself to free ebooks, information articles or any press releases.

Am I pretty much limited to PPC for the marketing of such a site and if so, how do I find unique keywords when there is a lot of competition. I understand that keyword phrases are better than single keywords, but even so there is only so many ways you can say "14k white gold diamond ring" etc.

Thank you for your help

>

Emma,

You're probably right about it being difficult to create ebooks, or press releases.
However, you could write an article about "How to spot a fake diamond" or
"The difference between white gold and yellow gold" or "14k gold and 24k gold".
Educate people about the finer aspects of jewelry.

To look for keywords, go to www.wordtracker.com
You would be surprised how many different way you could say "14k white gold diamond ring".

Also, tell some kind of fascinating story about the history of your gold or the process of how
the jewelry was made, something like that. People love a good story.

If you need ideas on how to write a compelling story, check out Gary Halbert
www.TheGaryHalbertLetter.com

Watch how he crafts a story and imitate him. He was one of the best copywriters, ever.

You can also buy some software to help you with keyworks research.
Keyword Elite is excellent.

Hope that helps and Good Luck!
Carl Willoughby

What should I sell to RPG (Role Playing Game) fans?
I've been struggling to find the answer for months!
>

Here's a suggestion...
Ask them.

Go to the RPG forums and ask people what they are looking for.
They will tell you.

Another method is to set up a survey. Ask people to fill out the survey.
Eben Pagan is offering a free quiz creator (Beta version).
Ask Eben where can you get the download.

You can contact him at:
Eben@GetAltitude.com

Hope that helps.

Good Luck.

QUOTE(RIck Gioia @ Nov 14 2007, 08:54 AM) *

Hi and thanks for the opportunity to ask the pros!

I am just about done writing my information e-book on getting out of debt in as little as three years a process I have done myself. I am a realativly new student of Dan Kennedy and am putting together an online and off line marketing campaign as well as my website.

My question is (and it's hard to just ask one question) I have very little capital left for this project and I need to be very strtegic in allocating it for best results do you have any advice for the best use of say $1000.

Thanks again
Rick

Rick,

I'm going to assume you've done your keyword research and have found a viable niche.
I'm also going to assume your website will have killer salescopy that converts into sales.
Make sure your site is optimized for the search engines.

Your next step is to develop a massive opt-in list with loyal subscribers to your newsletter
(You are going to have a newsletter, aren't you?)

OK. Here's how you spend your $1,000 bucks. Sign up for Google Adwords.
Start bidding on long tail keywords (3 words or so). Google will bring you quick,
targeted traffic. Watch your budget closely or Google will take all your money.

Start a Blog and start writing about getting out of debt.
Turn your blog entries into articles and submit them to content syndication sites like:
www.ezinearticles.com and www.freesticky.com.

Buy classified ads in ezines. Go to Google and type in "debt elimination" + "ezines"
or "debt reduction" + "ezines" and you will get a list of ezines to target.

Take out a press release. www.URLwire.com or www.prweb.com.
Except for Google Adwords, a lot of these suggestions can be done cheaply or free.

And try calling some of your customers or prospects over the telephone.
The telephone is cheap and very effective. Direct mail will burn up your money quickly.

Hope that helps. Good Luck!

Hi group!

I'm very excited about this new opportunity! Thanks, IMC!

My question: I want to insert high-quality video into one of my sales pages, much like the testimonials on the IMC sales pages. My Online Webinar series begins in January , and initial sales have been good, but I know if I were able to insert a personal sales pitch from yours truly into the page, sales would skyrocket. How do I even begin to go about doing this? I'm concerned with both figuring out how to insert the video in the first place, *and* with creating a high-quality video.

By the way, here's the current sales page. I'd appreciate any other tips you can give me! We were discussing this page on another thread, but that one's been pinned.

I would like to continue discussing the topic in this thread:

http://www.internetentrepreneurclub.com/in...amp;#entry23696

John has been wonderfully helpful, but I'm still not sure how to set it up. I'm using a WP blog for my site, but the home page has been made static, with the exception of we'll have recent blog posts on it so it shows Google it's always being updated. (for SEO reasons)

My question is whether or not to have my sales letter on the "home" page, or put it somewhere else, and have the home page simply collect an opt-in and send them TO the sales letter.

The site is http://www.realestateinvestormachine.com

What I'm looking for is a "Search Engine Suggestion Tool" that includes a column with "the number of sites found".

Currently I have to alt-tab back and forth between "Overture" (my suggestion tool) and Google where I do the search. This is extremely time comsuming when trying to figure out which keyword phrases are searched for often, but with little competition.

Thank you for the weekly calls!

Hi,

I hope I can participate in the call! But first, this is my question...

What should I sell to RPG (Role Playing Game) fans?

I've been struggling to find the answer for months! It seems like there's no way for a little guy like me could stand a chance, unless I can produce my own RPG game.

Andrew M suggested to focus on the Second Life game (I'll think about it seriously), but is there any other alternative?

Thank you!

Hello Everyone
I am in Australia and will attempt to attend the Conference Call on 14 November - if I get the time zone right.
My question is: Do you recommend (or what are the pros and cons of) using an exit popup such as ExitBlocker to sell a product related to the product advertised on my website? (http://www.creativebasslessons.com)
The advertised product is "Bass Guitar Lessons Online" and the related product is an eBook on the topic of "Walking Bass".
Thanks for your help.

QUOTE(Robert Wouter @ Nov 13 2007, 06:34 PM) *

Hello to all,

Thanks for the opportunity of a free call with the experts. That's great !

I am on the virge on starting to build my own website (not yet my own product cause I'm stuck there) and the question is this:

Does it make a difference to google and other SE's if my pages have a different style of URL ?

Example:
URL-1 is example.com/category/products/abc.html

URL-2 is example.com/pages/category/product-listing/a-b-c.php

Have the SE's any trouble or have they less interest in pages like URL-2 ?

Thanks,

Robert & Wouter

Same TOPIC!!

I would like an answer to Robert's question also, we're updating our site, although niche site ranks #1 on google and yahoo our conversion rates continue to fall on our circa 1998 website. We want to implement a strong opt in on the home page and credit card merchant acct. vs current paypal.

Our current URL is example.com/index.php

Some of the proposals we've received call for a complete rewrite in "natural html" they claim will improve each product's search ranking and conversion rates. What are the pro's and con's.

Thanks,

I’m getting ready to contact suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, etc., to let them know I can help them liquidate their excess stock--whether outdated, over-ordered, or just out-of-style. I had two calls from 500 postcards, and I need to focus my efforts on those who stock the types of items found in 99 cent stores, and other easily marketed items. What is the best way to locate those products on the internet, and to make the initial contact with those who need my assistance?

Thanks, Martin (myatch9)

I think these calls are going to be a big help.

I would simply like input on good traffic brokers who can target well and not cost an arm and a leg!!

Also is the "Adsense game" still doable or is it out of date material? Can you still make thousands per month with Google?

Thanks

Hi everyone! Unfortunately I will not be able to participate in the live call as I have a previous family engagement.

This may not be the correct forum (no pun intended) in which to ask this question but here goes.

My wife and I are brand new in setting up an e-commerce site and are having difficulty in deciding on what constitutes a good "keyword" (we have a line of products already).

I am not looking for help in formulating the actual keywords, more direction in how to go about formulating keywords that will improve my search engine rankings?

Any assistance given to a couple of newbies will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Guys/Gals:

I am very new to all of this and glad to have found The Internet Marketing Centre and now this forum - I feel this will be a great bonus for our company to get up and running on the internet - in some past material Derek tells of paying a fee to sell someone else's products is a poor sign - if the products were so great to sell why charge - well what about a drop shipper which has an inventory of suppliers and that dropshipper is charging a monthly fee of say $39 for you to be a member of this community of shippers - is that a good thing or bad?

One more thing for this weeks call - 3 Way Links - is this wrong, a good idea, a waste of money - does one of your services or products offer just as good or better solutions.

Thanks for the help this week.

We have both items and information to sell. I have read how the offerings on a good ecommerce site should be category specific. The ebook we want to sell, has a chapter about the use of items as fundraisers, and would interest people in using the items on our site for this purpose. Does this make our info and our items relate enough to each other, to be marketed on one site? Or should it be two 'sister sites' , one for items for sale, one for information (ebook) ? And link them? Also, how would you suggest we provide a way to enable buyers of items or ebook to donate a percentage to a charity at the time they purchase from us? Maybe from a not-too- long list of charities they can select from, (maybe ten) with a link to the charity websites? This would lead them away from our site but we could set it up so if they leave the charity site, they automatically come back to our shopping cart. Yes?
Thank you, we appreciate the opportunity to be guided

Looking forward to the call. Thanks for setting this up... no doubt it is going to be very valuable for us all.

My question has to do with setting up a communication plan for the site. I am building out a new site now for a b&m business and plan to add autoresponder series along with trigger-based email campaigns. I think what I need is a good way to diagram or chart this out so I can manage it bettter. How do you plan out all of the various communication paths for your customers to ensure that they get the right message at the right time and that each message is appropriate for where they are in the stream.

Also I'm starting to take the first step in SEO and dig into keyword research for this site. What are the key metrics I should look for in determining if a keyword is worth go after? And is there a difference between keywords used for SEO and PPC?

Thanks,

Greetings from Philadelphia! I operate LoveSongs.com and for a long time we were on the 2nd page of results for Google for the term Love Songs (with the space inbetween and no quotes). Actually we would bounce back and forth from being on the 2nd page of results to oblivion where I can't even find it (would change every 3 days back and forth). Now we have been bounced to oblivion fo the last several weeks and not sure why (tother than maybe Google's formula changed again). Is there something basic I am doing wrong so that I'm not at least in the first couple page of results for the term: Love Songs . I mean the site is called LoveSongs.com ha ha. Seriously any ideas/suggestions from the panel would be welcome. Many thanks!

Thank you for this wonderful ongoing support! I am looking forward to continuing to move forward!

Could you please review the various aspects and steps of creating an eBook, starting at the beginning, with using Word or eBook Pro, creating the covers (what resources are available for making myself + other options), how to link everything so when someone makes a purchase, the eBook is sent out in it's proper and complete format, ....and any other suggestions/steps are necessary in the process. Thank you!

Hi!

Thank you for doing this Q & A. This is going to be priceless!

My request is for someone to give an overview of the "structure" of hosting accounts, auto responders, domain forwarding, and nameservers. I have a host company (where I also have my domain name registered) to which I would like to transfer content that I create on my MAC computer. Once done, I want to connect several web pages to autoresponders. Can I use one autoresponder for several different pages, ie several different businesses.

Thank you for your help! I hope to be on the call live tomorrow night!

Hi everyone --

We're REALLY excited to announce that starting Wednesday, November 14th, we'll be hosting a FREE weekly conference call for all our members.

You'll be able to call in and ask your favorite experts -- Jenn, John, Geoff, Andrew, Nicole... they'll all be there! -- questions about whatever you'd like to know.

Yes, you read that right... you can ask anything you want!

The call will take place at 3 p.m. PST (to calculate the correct time in YOUR area, please visit www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html ).

To access the call...

- Dial 512-597-6492
- Enter access code 639574#

(The operator will put questions through one at a time.)

If you can't participate in the call, feel free to post your questions in this thread, and we'll get to as many as we can during the call!

Once the call is complete, we'll be posting a recorded version in the forum for everyone to hear.

As always, feedback is welcome!

Cheers,
